A record €1.4B invested in Spanish startups   

Investment in Spanish startups grew from €0.9B in 2017 to €1.4B in 2018. Right now Spain is the fourth European country in VC investment and number of rounds (298). 
UK, Germany and France are the top 3 of the list. Spain, Italy, Belgium and Denmark experienced the biggest increase in funding. 50% of the investment comes from Europe investment funds & corporates.

Dealroom.co, the virtual data platform, has ranked the rising stars. The ones selected from Spain are:

Cabify & Letgo at €1B
Glovo at $250-500M
Ontruck, TravelPerk and Spotahome all at $0-250M

In 2018, a record €28 billion was invested in European and Israeli startups (€21 billion excluding Israel & Biotech). The map began to be written in 2013 with €8.9B invested in Europe. By the end of 2018, this figure had multiplied by 3.5!
